Da Leap

A great place to watch the local surfers is at the Kapahulu Groin at Queen’s Surf Beach in Waikiki. You’ll keep expecting someone to surf right into the wall but they never do.

A local fixture at Sandy Beach every weekend is Eddie Tadeo.    He’ll be at one end of the park flying his kites.  He puts them thru their paces.                                                                     Watch long enough and he’ll invite you to try flying his high performance kite.  When you stop and say hi ask Eddie how many time he’s seen Avatar.

Great time for Windsurfing

The weather recently in Hawaii has included very strong trades.  Making for ideal opportunities for windsurfing.  By windsurfing I mean Kiteboarding and Sailboarding.  Which you do depends on if you want to keep your feet firmly planted on the water.  On Oahu, you can go to Mokuleia on the North Shore or Kailua Beach on the Windward side.
