Panorama not perfect

I thought I’d post the panorama I created from some photos I took at sunset yesterday.  I liked the quality of the light and how it highlighted the tops of the ridges sloping down to the water. This was hand held and each shot was in portrait.  Trouble was I rushed one of my shots and it was slightly out of focus. Looking at the final product up close it stood out like a sore thumb!  So don’t rush.

Cloud Front

While taking the photos for this panorama, a hiker fell about 40 feet on the opposite side of Makapuu Point.  I didn’t know that until the HFD showed up to stage the helicopter at the hang gliders LZ nearby. By then the clouds and rain enveloped Makapuu Point and HFD Rescue had to deal with that while picking up the injured hiker.

Too Fast

Hoping to get my first sunset of the new year,I was at the bay today.  Instead I got some water sport action. Tourists enjoy getting towed around the bay on rubber rafts. Half the fun is whipping it around in such a tight turn the riders can’t stay on.

“Resolve To Be A Moment Catcher”

I put the title in quotes because I borrowed it from David Ziser’s New Years post. Not only  great photographic advice but he meant it as simple life advice ” soft breezes, beautiful sunsets, butterfly kisses, warm hugs, loving glances, a special embrace from a loved one are simple too valuable to let pass by.”

I’m making that my New Years resolution. I think if I succeed at that, everything else will fall into place.

Mahalo David Ziser.
