Goin Fishin
There’s a section of Koko Head called China Walls. Some of it is a high bare cliff dropping to a flat shelf. During the summer the south swell makes it a dangerous place to stand. When the swell comes from the north during fall and winter the waters here are smoother and fishing and swimming is safer. It’s also a great place to watch the sunset.

More Yellow
A few days ago I posted the photo I submitted for the TWIP contest. The assignment was Yellow. No sooner do I pick one than I start seeing yellow in a bunch of other photos I’ve taken. This is a photo of the floats of some stacked outrigger canoes.

Looking Up
This past weekend I roamed the confines of the Blaisdell Exhibition Center in Honolulu. Taking pictures of the activities for the Splendor of China – Chinese Chamber of Commerce – Narcissus Festival. The back of the main stage utilized the Carla Coray Galleria for dressing rooms and lounge.
During a lull Sunday afternoon, I’m standing behind the stage. I glanced up to the second floor and the high vaulted glass enclosure. I realized I’ve gotta take pictures of this. I’ve been to the exhibition hall numerous times and the vaulted galleria is plain to see. It never occurred to me to walk up and get some pictures! DUH!
